About the Brand

Four Decades of Building Across India. And Still Looking for the Next Door to Open.

JK Lakshmi Cement has spent more than forty years charting new ground in the Indian cement industry, and every year the horizon has moved a little further. Eighteen million tonnes of capacity. A turnover above Rs 6,000 crore. A presence across the Northern, Western, and Eastern regions of the country. Behind it stands the JK Organisation, an industrial force with over 140 years of experience across tyres, paper, power transmission, dairy, and textiles, and a legacy of building boldly and always reaching for what comes next.

That spirit of discovery runs through the network. Plants at Sirohi, Durg, Kalol, and Jhajjar. 4,000 channel partners across more than a dozen states. Each one is a door into the brand, and each has its own presence on Google. In cement, the decision is made at the nearest counter, and the journey to that counter often begins with a search on a map. So a new territory came into view: a map of thousands of doors, each one waiting to be found. The question was how far this network could go once every one of them was lit up, postcode by postcode.

The Brief

The Scale of the Ask, and the Network Ready to Answer It

The brief had a clear direction: strengthen local presence on Google across the full JK Lakshmi Cement network. Behind it sat one of the largest cement footprints in the country. Plants at Sirohi, Durg, Kalol, and Jhajjar. A dealer and sub-dealer network spanning more than a dozen states.

Every touchpoint carried its own Google Business Profile. Together, those profiles formed the digital surface through which buyers discover the brand, not through campaigns or hoardings, but through a map search performed moments before a decision is made.

The task was not to optimise one listing. It was to make the entire pan-India network perform as one coherent discovery system, each profile accurate, active, and findable to the buyer standing closest to it.

Four objectives defined the scope:

  • Bring every plant and dealer listing to an active, accurate, and complete state.
  • Manage the entire network as one coherent discovery system, not thousands of separate listings.
  • Generate measurable growth across every local signal: impressions, actions, calls, directions, and website clicks.
  • Build a position that compounds with every passing quarter and widens the gap in every market.

The Challenges

What It Takes to Win Locally, Across an Entire Country and Its Thousands of Postcodes

A network as large and purposefully distributed as JK Lakshmi’s creates a discovery opportunity that most brands in the category cannot match. The scale is the advantage. What it asks for in return is precision at every point in the network. Here is what that means in practice:

  • A discovery opportunity spread across thousands of independent touchpoints: Every plant, every dealer, every sub-dealer carries its own Google Business Profile. Each one is a door into the brand for a nearby buyer. At this scale, the opportunity is enormous and so is the responsibility to keep every door open and accurate.
  • A category where local beats national at every single decision point: In cement, the purchase is made at the nearest counter, not through brand recall. The buyer searches, the map shows a name, and the decision follows. Owning local discovery in this category is not a marketing advantage. It is a commercial one.
  • First impressions at this scale need a system, not individual attention: Every profile in the network is a potential first impression for a high-intent buyer. Keeping thousands of profiles consistently accurate, active, and representative of the brand behind them is work that only compounds when it is managed as a system.
  • Demand leaks quietly when profiles drift, not loudly when they fail: An outdated phone number, a missing photograph, a category left blank. None of it creates a visible break. All of it, multiplied across hundreds of listings, shapes whether a high-intent searcher finds JK Lakshmi or moves to the next name on the map.
  • The digital footprint needs to match the physical one, postcode by postcode: Decades of distribution have put JK Lakshmi in more markets than most brands in the category will ever reach. The work was to ensure that every market it serves on the ground is one where buyers can find it on a map.

The Approach

One System, Built to Bring Every Listing Across the Country to Life

Rather than tune profiles in isolation, we operated the entire network as a single discovery instrument, powered by the 1GMB hyperlocal practice built by Lyxel&Flamingo. We structured the approach around four decisions that ensured consistency, activity, and measurability across every listing in the footprint.

01. Standardise the Foundation Across Every Listing in the Network

Every plant and dealer profile was brought under active management and standardised on accurate name, address, phone, hours, and category. The foundation of a discovery network is accuracy, and accuracy at this scale requires a system built to hold it.

02. Make Every Profile a Genuine Discovery Surface, Not Just a Correct Entry

A profile that is merely correct is a directory entry. A profile that is correct and active is a discovery surface. Every listing was kept alive with hyperlocal posts, geo-tagged photography, and complete service and product information, updated consistently so nearby buyers always found a profile that reflected the real brand behind it.

03. Match the Digital Footprint to the Physical Network, End to End

Plants at Sirohi, Durg, Kalol, and Jhajjar. Authorised dealers. Sub-dealer touchpoints. All active. All tracked. The digital footprint was built to match the physical one so that everywhere JK Lakshmi Cement had a presence on the ground, it now had a presence buyers could find on a map.

04. Track Every Listing So Performance Was Always Visible and Improvable

Every profile was measured so that network health was visible in real time. The demand each listing was generating, and where it was coming from, was tracked consistently so that every gain was repeatable and every gap was closable before it became a loss.
