About the Brand

A Global Surface Brand With a Commitment to Design That Performs as Well as It Looks.

Merino Laminates is a leading global manufacturer of decorative laminates, recognized for combining innovative design with durability and stylish surface solutions. Catering to diverse spaces, the brand has built its reputation on a conviction that design excellence and material performance do not require a trade-off. Sustainability runs alongside both.

Luvih is Merino’s most immersive surface range. A collection that draws from nature’s most evocative elements: spring waters, fire, metals, and wood. Crafted with Fingerguard technology for fingerprint resistance and finished with smooth Haute Matte surfaces, Luvih brings refined elegance to any space it inhabits. Every surface in the range is designed to be lived with, not just admired.

The Brief

A Premium Range Ready to Speak Directly to the People It Was Built For.

The engagement carried a precise ambition: to humanize Luvih so that the women most likely to choose it could see themselves in it. Not as passive admirers of a premium aesthetic, but as active decision-makers who could feel the range’s relevance to their daily lives. The brief was shaped by three intentions that together defined the scope of the work.

  • Position Luvih as a surface range that elevates everyday spaces, not only premium showrooms.
  • Build an emotional connection between Luvih’s luxury material qualities and the real, lived moments of its primary audience.
  • Retain the range’s premium identity while expanding the emotional territory it was allowed to occupy.

The Insight

The Distance Between Luxury and Relatability Is Smaller Than Most Luxury Brands Believe.

The insight emerged from a clear observation. Luvih’s primary audience, predominantly women, found the range difficult to relate to despite finding it genuinely compelling. The product’s elevated positioning created a gap not in quality or desirability, but in perceived closeness.

That gap was the insight. A luxury surface range that could close the distance between its own aspirational identity and the daily, tactile moments of the people who would actually live with it had an opportunity most surface brands had not yet taken. The invitation was not to bring the product down. It was to bring the audience in.

Luvih’s Fingerguard technology and Haute Matte finishes were not liabilities to work around. They were the bridge. Features that answered the audience’s real concern: that luxury surfaces are beautiful to look at but impractical to own.

The Challenge

Preserving What Made Luvih Exceptional While Expanding Who Could Feel It.

The central challenge was one of balance. How to make a luxury surface range more emotionally accessible to everyday life without softening the very qualities that gave it its identity. Two dimensions shaped the strategic thinking.

01. Closing the Relatability Gap Without Diluting the Premium Experience:
Luvih’s nature-inspired materials, Fingerguard finish, and Haute Matte surface are its greatest strengths and the source of its perceived distance. The campaign needed to reframe these not as rarefied choices but as features that make daily life more beautiful and less effortful, grounded in real moments rather than polished interiors.

02. Reaching Women With Creative That Felt Personal, Not Aspirational from a Distance:
The category had long prioritised aesthetic over emotion. This campaign needed to do both: build a visual and emotional language rooted in what women actually value in their homes, while staying entirely faithful to what makes Luvih, Luvih.

The Approach

Three Creative Vectors. One Audience. A Campaign Built Around How Luxury Actually Feels to Live With.

01. Relatable Storytelling: Bringing Luvih Into the Spaces Where Life Happens:

Rather than leading with aspirational set pieces, the campaign placed Luvih inside real, lived-in environments. Every creative showed how the range transforms ordinary spaces without asking the audience to imagine themselves somewhere they have never been.

02. Sensory Storytelling: Making the Material Experience Visible on Screen:

Luvih is built to be felt, not just seen. The campaign translated that sensory identity into visual and emotional cues drawn from daily life, giving the range’s nature-inspired materials a layer of meaning the audience could connect with before they could fully articulate why.

03. Audience-First Creative: Fingerprint-Resistant Surfaces Seen Through Everyday Eyes

Luvih’s Fingerguard technology was framed not as a spec, but as a quiet promise: a surface that stays beautiful through the actual rhythm of daily life. The campaign made that promise visible, showing women what it looks like to own luxury without managing it.
